You can request deletion of your PDF Fit account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to make that request and what happens to your data afterwards.
How to request account deletion
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open the PDF Fit app and sign in to your account.
- Tap the Profile tab.
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation, enter your password to confirm, and tap Delete My Account.
- Your account and the data listed below are permanently deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Email request
If you can no longer sign in to the app, send an email to greg@gregarmstrong.com.au with:
- Subject line: Account Deletion Request
- The email address associated with your PDF Fit account
We will verify your identity and process the request within 30 days, and will email you a confirmation once your account has been deleted.
What data is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
- Deleted Your account profile (name, email, password hash, biometric setting)
- Deleted All workout sessions and individual set logs
- Deleted All program instances and progress tracking
- Deleted Strength tests, cardio tests and bodyweight tests
- Deleted Fasting logs and custom fasting presets
- Deleted Custom program templates that you created
- Deleted Password reset tokens linked to your account
What data is kept (and why)
- Kept Default program templates provided by the app are not deleted, but your link to them is removed so they are no longer associated with you.
- Kept Anonymised, aggregate analytics (for example, total app installs) that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely.
- Kept Server access logs may be retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention, after which they are automatically purged.
- Kept Records required by law (for example, tax or fraud-prevention records related to a paid purchase) may be retained for the period required by applicable law.
Retention period
In-app deletions are processed immediately. Email deletion requests are processed within 30 days of verification. Backup copies of the database are rotated and any residual personal data in those backups is purged within 35 days of the deletion request.
